The 5th generation Toyota 4Runner has four D-ring attachments in the cargo area. These areas are sunk down into the floor of the cargo area, making it a prime spot to collect dirt and debris.

These d-ring cover accessories fit precisely into the socket of each D-ring keeping all dirt and debris out. They tight fit also prevents annoying rattling while driving.

The D-ring covers are hand-wash only.

The covers are made from a plastic called PETG. This ensures they will not warp with normal use in the cargo bay area of your 4Runner. However, if you leave them on the dash of your vehicle, in hot sun, there is a chance the covers may warp. 

On the front caps (the ones closest to the seat) the orientation is correct when the side with the curved corners is down toward the hatch.

The D-ring covers come with a small gasket that forms a seal between the cover and the D-ring depression in your vehicle. This gasket can be made looser or tighter depending on the fit. Loosen the gasket to make the fit more snug, and tighten the gasket to make the fit less snug. Sometimes the cord may fit a little loose in the holes of the cap and it will release the tension on them when you stop pulling. If this happens and the front covers are not sitting flush, pull the cord tight then insert the cover. Continue to work it in, and you will notice the cover sitting more flush until it fits properly. Once it sits flush it should stay in place. If the cord is still too loose, try removing one end of the cord completely from the hole and pull the cord tight around the entire cover, making sure the cord stays in the track, then reinserting the end into the hole. 

What happens when the cord isn’t snug is it rolls when you insert it into the d-ring depression. Then, when you let go of the cover, the cord rolls back the other way and lifts the cover. By working it in you are slowly removing the roll from the cord so the cover stays in place as it should.
